disaster in recovery

5 Aug

Life has been a disaster for this week. And next week of course. Lagi2 next week Ramadhan is starting. Bila nak terawih macam ni?

My classmates and I have 3 deadlines by 14 Aug to meet:

1. Advanced Interaction Design (AID) – Virtual Lab Tour
We have to create a virtual lab simulation in 2 weeks. 2 weeks wey. This is the most stressful assignment ever. Even though it is a simulation, there are tons of work to be done like taking photos of the lab, stitching the photos and making it in 3D. Agak gila. Aku pun mau gila jugak macam ni.

2. Strategic Information System Planning (SISP)
Business Assessment Workshop. We have to discuss the initial stage of a strategic planning for business using Porter’s Five Forces model. I’m not the management type of person, but with the help of my classmates, hopefully we can come out with a good presentation.

3. Business Data Network & Communication (BDNC)
Term paper. Virtualization is my topic. IEEE format. Have not searched for references yet. Pengsan.

My routine for these 2 weeks are 7.30am-4.30pm for work (due to Ramadhan), and 8.30pm-11.30pm group discussion for assignments. Takde life ok.  Sila la tengok schedule deadlines di bawah.

Huhu. Itu je ekspresi aku.

On the other note, I found these pics in my friend’s FB.

With full-time students.

Ok kelakar sebab perempuan2 kat belakang tu macam beria habis :p

wedding, eclipse and italiannies

10 Jul

1. Diey’s Wedding

Roomie dearest, finally you are united with the man you love. I still remember those days at Cyber Townhouse where you stayed up late in the morning chatting with Cibit on Skype. All the ups and downs you have gone through with him was worth it. I am so happy for you both. Really really happy. All the best for the beautiful journey ahead of you ;)

2. Eclipse

Thanks to Emi, I watched Eclipse at the e@Curve (yes, it is our favourite place).  I agree with Ain, it was way better than New Moon, but too many kissing scene. I am definitely drooling over Taylor Lautner aka Jacob, and he is becoming better. Rob Pattionso aka Edward with less pouting, but he looked older. There were a few lines which made the audience laughed and even clapped in the cinema, which I liked. As one of the book readers, this is on the adapted movies that I am satisfied with.

3. Italiannies.

Delicious and full, ’nuff said.

It was a very satisfying day.

perhentian, aku kembali lagi

1 Jun

Aku kembali lagi ke pulau ini. For the third time.

Yes I was in Pulau Perhentian last weekend, joining my department’s Family Day.

Sungguh, aku memang in love dengan pulau ini. Baik Perhentian Kecil or Perhentian Besar. Setiap kali aku kembali, aku tak pernah bosan.

Kali ni, special sikit. Sebab ini 1st time dan last time aku join Family Day ICT JKT, sebabnya lepas ni aku akan start a whole new episode in my career.

Kali ni jugak, aku buat kawan baru. Dulu2 pegi Perhentian dengan close friends, tapi kali ni budak2 JT and PTM lain aku buat kawan. Seronok ah. Bos aku pun join jugak, siap bawak mak dia lagi.

Let the pictures do the talking.

Jeti Besut.

Finally, I am brave enough to snorkel.

Biru dan hijau.

New friends.

The firehouse. Never been here before.

And…

*sighs*

I know I fell.

I know this in my heart.

Whatever it is in my heart, will remain there, obviously.

Perhentian, see you in 5 years, or more.

19 Apr

Hello people.

It was a very busy week indeed. I mean, last week. So let me recap the weekdays in a summary and tell the details of the weekend later on.

Monday to Wednesday, I had work done for the office’s website, and some data cleaning and reconfiguration because of some errors that is NOT definitely made by me, but I had to clean it up, that made me pissed off for a bit. Ok, I was pissed off big time but I didn’t really express it because apparently I want to take care of my colleague’s feeling. Yea, since when do I care? Huhu. Since I entered the public sector of course. Ok no more of that. Every night after work I had online conference with my groupmates to settle our group project. This is where I found working and studying is tough when you have to juggle between both things and the time management. Yea, all of us are working and some have families so we need to understand each other’s situation.

Come Thursday, I had a sort of workshop at the state’s office and I took time off in late afternoon to finish up my individual assignment. Friday, I left work 45 minutes early because I had to pick up my mum, aunt and uncle because they were ‘escorting’ me to Shah Alam. Ok, they were actually visiting my cousin for the weekend.

Ok summary ke ni? Hahaha.

Friday nite, I dropped mum, aunt and uncle off around 8.30pm at my cousin’s place, had a quick shower and dashed off to McD Sekyen 3 to meet Ita, Hadi, Yaz and Iza to finish up our group presentation. We were there from 9PM until 1AM. Gila macho kitaorang semua. Berjuang ok.

Saturday, group presentation. We had to a lot for the report based on our lecturer’s comment. It was our last class with him and our class rep, Meno, had the idea of giving each lecturer (2 subjects) a Thank You card. Cool. Dr Laila’s class was the last one too. I’m gonna miss her lectures, because she is one iron lady and she had actually opened up my mind to a totally different perspective.

Sunday, hari perjuangan terakhir untuk Sem 1 2009/2010. It was an open book test, 10 questions + 1 bonus question in 3 hours. Believe me, you will not have enough time to answer 11 questions in 3 hrs. I had answered the two last questions in 15 minutes, I hope I answered that 2 q’s well, as well as the other nine q’s. It was the weirdest test ever because of… well, we can bring laptops. The technology help us. I am not going to elaborate much further :D

After the test we headed to McD Seksyen 3 again [kaya wey McD ni, kita asyik gi sini je] and slave ourselves over our group report. from 1PM until 6PM okay. Syabas kawan2. Had dinner outside and I was out at 10.15PM. Woke up at 4.30AM, did some diagrams for the report but had to sleep back because my eyes drooped and I could not stare at the screen anymore. Finished the diagrams at 10.30AM today, sent it to Hadi and Ita for them to compile.

To my classmates, especially my groupmates, terima kasih sebab sama2 berjuang. I couldn’t do it without you guys. Hope to meet all of you again next sem.

Here are some pics from the slaving-over-report session last Sunday:

Yaz and Iza.

Ita.

Hadi.

My weekends will be empty, for 2 months without these guys and classes. So what’s next?

Going to.

Seven things about yourself.
Wow. I had done this a lot I think. But here  it goes, in no particular order:

  • I spend most of my time on the road, driving.
  • Loving my masters classes. It feels good to be  around an education environment again.
  • I’ll be happy when I caught old songs on radio stations especially the songs I listen to when I grow up.
  • I can text using a normal keypad without looking at the keypad itself. Most people find that fascinating, but I think it’s normal for people around my age.
  • I can type very fast but when it comes to typing test I failed miserably because I have to look at the words on the screen and not think it in my head.
  • Needs a compact cam like Lumix LX-3 or 4. I love DSLR but I don’t think I am rajin enough to lug around the extra bag.
  • Not a good person in business because I’m not good at persuading.

I need to get back to my assignment. Hahahaa boleh blogging dulu kan.
