explain this v1.0

I always see these in Facebook status and photo captions:

“Miss you damn much” / “Miss my family damn much” (status)

What’s with ‘damn’ word? I don’t get it, if you want to emphasize you are missing someone, just use ’so’ or ‘really’. ’Damn’ sounds harsh. It can be actually considered as a swear word.

2. “My lovely mum” /”My lovely dad” (photo captions)

What’s the use of ‘lovely’? Does it mean, beautiful, or pretty, or in Malay, as I understand it “penyayang”? There’s another appropriate word for it right, which is ‘dear’. Why can’t they use dear?

Just wondering, really. If anyone can explain this trend I would really appreciate it.
